I don’t have enough words of praise for Stephanie and all that she did during our wedding planning and on our wedding day.
From the start, we knew we wanted to have our wedding in the beautiful Okanagan. Renowned for its wine and summer getaways, the Okanagan is also a popular wedding destination, as such it has countless of vendors and planners to choose from. I stumbled upon Dream Big through a simple Google search. I explored their website and saw the stunning weddings they had organized in the past. Upon meeting Stephanie for the first time (over zoom), her sweetness, exceptional kindness, remarkable organization, and impressive network were immediately evident. We mentioned our desire to get married at Poplar Grove, but sadly, the earliest available date was in 2025 (this was back in fall 2021). Within just five minutes, Stephanie surprised us by pulling some strings and securing a date for us in the summer of 2023, (this was the summer we wanted to get married). Blown away – my husband and I booked her to be our wedding planner. Although we ultimately chose Phantom Creek as our wedding venue instead of Poplar Grove, Stephanie’s extensive connections in the Okanagan proved to be a tremendous asset, no matter the location.
Stephanie told us that her and her team plan 30-40 weddings per year, so SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE’S TALKING ABOUT. Her experience means she’s encountered and resolved countless challenges and understands what works and what doesn’t. For example – we got married on June 25 and my husband and I were worried that it was going to be boiling hot and wanted to know what precautions to take so that our guests did not overheat during the outdoor ceremony. Stephanie assured us that the area typically experiences a cool breeze from 4-6 pm, making additional fans unnecessary. As it turned out, she was absolutely right, and our guests remained comfortable throughout the ceremony.
Stephanie always had our best interests in mind when discussing budgets with vendors, skillfully ensuring they understood our limits and facilitating these delicate conversations. On the day of our wedding Stephanie was a pillar of calm. Everything flowed flawlessly, thanks to her meticulous planning. Even our guests noticed her exceptional skills and made a point to tell us how impressed they were with her during and after the wedding. If you are looking for a wedding planner Dream Big is it!
